We can see everyday now that more and more people want to look more interesting. They want to look just like the models on TV or magazines. To achieve this, they are willing to take expensive diet programs from various dieticians or join a fitness club to undergo strenuous trainings. Books about weight loss are also mushrooming. Rather than use the service of a dietician which is usually expensive or join tiresome trainings, books about loosing weight are good alternative to try. Here, I gave some short reviews on some of them.
Atkins’ New Diet Revolution by Dr. Atkins. Unlike any other weight loss method, Dr. Atkin’s method encourages us to eat lots of vegetables and also meat. We also are supposed to consume bread and pastas to balance things up. Fat also is not forbidden. Eat as much butter as you want. At the end of the program, you will find yourself lack of calcium and fiber but high in fat.
Carbohydrate Addict’s Diet by Drs. Heller. This diet program does not restrict anything except carbs. So it’s okay for us to eat vegetables, meat, dairy products, fruits and grain products.
Choose to Lose by Dr. Goor. This type of method is little bit unique. We were given a “fat” budget. We were given liberty to eat meat and poultry products as much as we want as long as it doesn’t exceed the “budget”. Fruits, pasta, breads and sea foods are okay too. This one is actually good since we get enough intakes of fruits, and vegetables and also un saturated fat. However, you have to reduce carbohydrates if triglyceride level is high.
The DASH Diet. It suggests us to eat lots of carbohydrates and moderate level of protein and fat. It copies the pyramid food guide as its goal is to make the blood pressure go down. However, the method that suggests us too eat a lot is making the dieters nervous.
